Preparing for Closing Day
You’ve found your new home, and made an offer that has been accepted by the seller. Now what? Well, now we complete all of the little steps that prepare you for closing day. Don’t worry, you won’t be alone during this process at all. We will be there every step of the way! At this point, you’ll be turning over your earnest deposit money to the title company. Inspection reviews will be ordered and the contact will be processed by your lender. You then choose your rate and an appraisal may be ordered too. You should arrange your homeowner’s insurance and begin transferring utilities at this stage too! Before closing day, there will be a final walk through so you can confirm the property is in the same condition as before, and that any ordered repairs have been made to your satisfaction.
The Big Day
Closing day has finally arrived! This could take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to complete, and when done, you will officially be a homeowner. Your lender will wire the money you need, and you can bring it in a cashier’s check form when signing the papers. You then complete the final paperwork and once you sign the last bit, you will receive the keys for your home! Now, you focus on moving in, decorating your new place, and making updates.
